These are the Scars Silence Carved on Me

Joey P. of Sin City Tattoos working on my arm

Found these photos in some random folder. Must've forgotten about them. They were taken April 15, while getting my (technically) third and largest to date. The design is, as I mentioned, based on a pre-existing mehndi design which I found online. I re-drew it to bear meanings that were special to me - the lotus with rays of sunlight to symbolize a rising sun, and the wheel of fate nestled in foliage. It's basically a reminder that hope is everywhere; in the sky, on the earth, that everything grows and turns, changes everyday. As above, so below!

Okay, dramatic much? Haha, pardon my being a symbolism-whore. Hope I can finish drawing this damned design that's been swimming in my head since forever! Been craving to have it inked and I think it's about time.

Check out http://sincitytattoos.blogspot.com for all their awesome work!

i'm terrified of tattoos - i love the idea, but not the sense of permanence that goes with it.

what if i'm wrong?

what if i'm not really talking about the tattoo?

ha! thank god i am.

@ie haha but that's the beauty of it - it's a commitment.
