People might argue that the most dangerous human emotion is anger. Some would say love, or hate, depends on which side of the thin line they happen to fall into.
They may be right, but I think something is more dangerous than that. I think Loneliness is the most dangerous human emotion - because it's nothing. It's an endless, boundless, limitless unfertile land. It's the absence of air, of sound and silence, of light and even darkness. It eats anger, love and hate. It's nothing.
And nothingness is perhaps the most fatal in the universe of man - we are so afraid of it; we scamper to fill its void with anything we think could fill it. We stuff it with gold, we stuff it with garbage, but nothing can fill it to the brim except its own nothingness. We stuff it with ourselves, and it only surmounts to nothing.
Loneliness is a palpable, piercing nothing, and it is this nothingness that is most dangerous.
